Dr. Vinod Bihari, Former Chief Scientist, Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow and a founder Member of The Academy of Life Sciences has been an excellent scientist, a thorough gentleman and a soft-spoken friend with a keen desire to help everyone. Besides contributing significantly to research and teaching in the field of fermentation technology and biotechnology at the state and national levels, Dr. Vinod Bihari played a monumental role in establishing the Academy of Life Sciences. His suggestions for various R&D activities of The Academy had significant impact on its performance with long term impact on nation building.

The sudden demise of Dr. Vinod Bihari, has left all his friends and colleagues, particularly the staff and members of The Academy of Life Sciences, in deep shock and we all will greatly miss him. Dr. Vinod Bihari’s ideals, excellent behavior with colleagues and creative R&D suggestions will always inspire and guide the friends and colleagues alike in contributing to nation building in the broad field of life sciences and technologies. Moreover, Dr. Vinod Bihari’s excellent camaraderie and spirit of helping everyone in the hour of need will always guide us.

The Executive Committee and all the members of The Academy of Life Sciences pray GOD for eternal peace to the soul of Dr. Vinod Bihari and to grant him a place in the heavens.
